Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using The Way Church app ("the App") or visiting our website at thewaymandurah.com.au, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or website.

2. Description of Service

The Way Church app is a community platform for The Way Church Mandurah. It provides features including but not limited to: sermon notes, Bible reading, event management, prayer requests, connect group communication, volunteer rostering, pastoral care requests, and push notifications.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• One account per person; sharing accounts is not permitted

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is offensive, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Share another person's personal information without their consent
• Use the App for any commercial or promotional purposes unrelated to the church
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code

5. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create (notes, messages, prayer requests, etc.). By posting content, you grant The Way Church a non-exclusive licence to display that content within the App for its intended purpose. Content you share in public areas (e.g., prayer wall, chat) will be visible to other authenticated users.

6. Moderation

Church administrators reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Availability & Updates

We strive to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may release updates, add or remove features, or perform maintenance at any time. Critical updates may be delivered automatically via over-the-air updates.

9. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The Way Church shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed AUD $0.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the App's Settings screen or through our Data Deletion page. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes through the App.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Western Australia.
