About This Message
Jesus rejoices in the Holy Spirit and praises the Father for hiding these things from the wise and revealing them to little children. Real growth doesn't come from cleverness or striving — it comes from dependence. God never calls us to be impressive. He calls us to be faithful.
“"I praise you, Father, that you have hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to little children."”— Luke 10:21
Key Points
- 1
The seventy-two returned with joy — even the demons submitted. Jesus reorients their joy.
- 2
Don't rejoice in your spiritual power. Rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
- 3
God hides revelation from the proud and gives it to the humble and dependent.
- 4
Two traps in ministry: spiritual pride ("look what God showed us") and religious striving.
- 5
God calls us to be faithful, not impressive. He does what only He can do.
