About This Message
Two disciples are walking away from Jerusalem, devastated. Jesus joins them on the road and opens the Scriptures — from Moses through all the prophets. By the end they say: 'Were not our hearts burning within us?' The Word of God is alive. It does something to you.
“"Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"”— Luke 24:32
Key Points
- 1
The disciples were walking away — hope was gone, the story seemed over.
- 2
Jesus joined them but they did not recognise Him. He opened the Scriptures from Moses to the prophets.
- 3
"The whole Bible is about Me" — every passage points to Christ.
- 4
Their hearts burned. The Word is not information — it is encounter.
- 5
They ran back to Jerusalem that same hour. Real engagement with Scripture produces movement.
